Really Bad Powerpoint – How to create better presentations

January 18, 2012 — 2 Comments

I’ve gone through hundreds of presentations throughout my educational and professional career. But think about it – which ones do you remember as outstanding, captivating and inspiring. Can you even remember any of them?

Seth Godin's guide on how to craft better presentations

Most presentations are prepared and delivered poorly. Being a witness amyn times I know this for a fact. But what should you change to make a difference? Today I found a link to Seth Godin’s quick guide to better presentations on Michael Hyatt’s blog.

I strongly encourage you to download and read the 10 pages free PDF

Yes, I do remember watching some poor presentations as well as few excellent ones. Communication is my area of interest. Thanks Philipp for the post and the link to Seth Godin’s pdf. (By the way, it seems there is some kind of error with the link. Please check it out. Thanks).

Joe, thanks for pointing this out. You were right, the links were broken but they should be working now. What happened was that I wrote this post in Mac’s Pages and copied it over to WordPress. As it seems the quotation marks were crippled.

I recall 2-3 really excellent presentations. The speakers had lots of experience and definitely know how to captivate their audience. Most presentations are average and only some really fail. But if you try to reach a certain goal settling for average should not be an option especially with material such as Seth’s PDF at hand.

      Thanks for your comment!
